Dear friends,

Despite the cancellation of all meetings and services at SLPC we remain committed to proclaiming the gospel as the best source of encouragement and hope during these days of uncertainty!

Even as global cases of COVID-19 continue to rise - we must not live in a state of fear, "for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self control." (2 Timothy 1:7)

The writer of Hebrews gives us a clear direction for these days: "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together..." (10:23-25)

Therefore:
  • Starting this Sunday, March 22 at 10:00 a.m. we will provide video of our worship service. You can access the service here (under the Sunday drop down on our homepage).
  • Pastor Dave will call us to worship and lead us in prayer.
  • Dave Calamaro will lead us in the singing of  Great Is Thy Faithfulness and Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.
  • Pastor Rick will speak from Psalm 91 on the theme: Fully trusting in God's protective care.
  • This service will be archived on our website so you can worship anytime.

Also the following Resources are excellent sources to enhance your worship and that of your family and to keep you in God's grip during the week:

Finally, please remember to:

  • Check in with family, friends and neighbors - As Christians we must offer loving care, friendship and the Good News of Jesus Christ to people overwhelmed with fear.
  • Pray - For your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to know the love and mercy of Jesus Christ.  Pray for the multitudes who are suffering and for the development of a safe vaccine and cure.
  • Contact Us - As needs arise, please call upon us to speak with you by phone and to pray.  You may reach me at rickm3birches@verizon.net or 610-325-0199 or David White at dwhite@slpca.org or 267-738-8106. Please let us know of any personal prayer needs - more than ever, our leaders are committed to praying for the saints at SLPC! And our diaconate is ready to provide financial assistance as needs arise.
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
Psalm 46:1
With Hope in Christ,
Pastor Rick Marshall
