Missionary Visit: Ted and Dana Witmer on July 4

This past Spring, there has been increased insecurity in the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), leading to a declaration of martial law in the region where our missionaries, Ted & Dana Witmer, have been serving for over 35 years. They now reside in Virginia and travel to Bunia twice a year where Ted teaches at Shalom University of Bunia and serves as their Director of Development. Dana is a medical doctor specializing in pediatrics and tropical medicine and also a mentor of church-based support groups. Ted and Dana recently returned from their Spring trip to the DRC and will be at SLPC on July 4 to give a Missions Moment during the worship service and a detailed presentation afterward in the sanctuary from 10:30-11:00 am. Come hear about God’s kingdom-building through the crisis in the DRC, as well as the urgent needs and how you can help. Our diaconate offering that day will go toward supporting Shalom University of Bunia.
