Palm Sunday - March 28

We’ll commemorate the Triumphal Entry, celebrating the true King’s arrival to the holy city. As we look back on this event that began the last week of Jesus’s earthly ministry, we also look forward with anticipation to his promised return.

Good Friday Service with Communion - April 2, 7:00 p.m.

On this night we remember with deep gratitude what Jesus Christ did on the cross, for us! During the service we sing the great hymns of our faith, hear the crucifixion story read from Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John - followed by the Lord’s Supper.

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” - John 15:13

“Truly, I say to you, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.” - Mark 14:25

Easter Festival - Saturday, April 3

All children from Kindergarten to 5th grade are invited to join us outdoors for an Easter Event. Come for a time of fellowship, a Bible lesson on the true meaning of Easter, and an egg hunt.

Volunteers are needed to help hide eggs, sing songs, supervise the kids, etc. You name it and we have a place for you to plug in! Not comfortable with outdoor activities yet? Sign up to stuff eggs, donate individually wrapped candy, and pray for safety and good news to go out to our community.

Please reach out to Shellie Marshall at children@slpca.org if you can help.

Easter Sunday - April 4

“Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen; he is not here!” (Mark 16:6). When these words were spoken by the angel of God to Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome, the world was forever changed!

On Good Friday, sin and death were defeated. But it was on Easter that hope returned to the world when Jesus was resurrected from the dead! The cross and the empty tomb are not just symbols of our faith - together they release into our lives a great gift. Simon Peter tells us that we have been given “...a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…” (1 Peter 1:3).

Celebrate our hope and share that hope by inviting friends and family to attend the service live or on-line. During the pandemic there is no greater need!
