Children's Ministry
The Children's Ministry is the first place that a child is able to see the family of God at work. They are able to experience friendships and relationships with adults that are built on shared faith and love for God. They are able to learn about God, and why He is so worthy of our love. What a privilege to be able to share that experience with our children! This job is an amazing blessing to my faith as I watch our children grow and learn to love God more.

We treasure every week that we have with our precious 4th and 5th graders in SLPC Sunday School. The personality of the class changes every year, and even throughout the year, but our goals never change: to lead unsaved children to Christ, and help all children understand and grow in their faith. To do this we use the curriculum given to us plus other tools such as: having a quiet time in class and emphasizing the importance of doing it every day at home, discussing the attributes of God, teaching about the importance of communicating with God through prayer and studying the Bible every single day, and discussing faith questions. We hope that every single child feels loved by God and by us during and after their time in Sunday School. We praise and thank Him for the opportunity to serve Him in this way.

Love for the Lord. Love for the children. Love for the parents. Children's Ministry is a labor of love.

The above is an example of the Lifeway curriculum we have been using in our Children's Ministry. For me one of the blessings of teaching Sunday school is seeing how these sometimes-difficult lessons and teachings of God's Word are made to accommodate even our youngest worshippers. As a parent, these lessons have been such a blessing with my own son as well as the children in the 3 & 4-year-old classroom. Incorporating crafts and fun has always been part of my passion. I'm grateful to be able to teach these little ones, but also grateful for some of the bonds I've formed over the years with the other teachers I serve alongside. I hope the congregation enjoys the comments from some of our teachers in this fun video. We love being able to share with you what makes our Springton Lake Children's Ministry so special!
