Youth Newsletter - Summer 2022

In April, the youth made the long-awaited return to the Ultimate Retreat! A long standing tradition for churches in our presbytery, the Ultimate Retreat is a fun-filled weekend of games, fellowship, and great Bible messages at NorthBay Adventure Camp. The retreat had been cancelled the last two years due to COVID, but we’re praising God for a great return this year!

Seven students from SLPC joined over a hundred other teens from other churches for this exciting retreat. Throughout the weekend, students played capture the flag, traversed the high ropes course, went kayaking, ziplining, and did other fun activities. The speaker for the weekend was Nate Shannon from Westminster Theological Seminary, who engaged our students with God’s Word. The topic for the weekend was God’s design for human relationships, and we were challenged and encouraged by the news of God’s purpose for our lives.

This summer, there’s plenty of exciting activities for our students. We are also in need of more volunteers, so if you are able to help chaperone, please let Jake know. Check out the calendar below for these upcoming events!
